Job Description

  • Demonstrate that Pacific Retirement Services’ (PRS) Core Values—excellence, innovation, integrity, stewardship, compassion, and collaboration—are ingrained into all aspects of your role.

  • Understand the importance of resident rights in healthcare as well as the community as a whole, and advocate for operations, processes, and decisions that are in residents’ best interests.

  • Promote resident independence to the greatest degree possible.

  • Develop knowledge on state and federal regulations and community policies and procedures.

  • Be constantly aware of safety and follow up on identified risks.

  • Communicate with residents, families and team members effectively and be able to individualize communication to accommodate resident specific needs.

  • Complete assigned duties such as, but not limited to; activities of daily living (ADLs), showers, socialization time with residents, mealtime duties, maintaining neat resident spaces, medication administration, replenishing supplies, providing clean linen, and transporting residents to appointments.

  • Monitor resident activity, food intake, functional status, psychosocial status and take action as necessary to promote resident wellbeing. Report status changes immediately to supervisor.

  • Document all completed tasks and ADLs as soon as possible.

  • Attend all required in-services and training in compliance with state and federal guidelines and facility protocols. Support current certifications with any required continuing education.

  • Participate on the resident care team by identifying personal preferences of residents, maintaining the highest achievable level of functioning, and informing nursing leadership with critical information.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
